Sacred Ground | a poem
we only want to scream to be seen our bodies allowed to be sacred ground why must you muffle our cries like ghosts who haunt but cannot speak? fuck the meek fuck the meek! i now lay in the shadow of my own decay and claw to breathe through your suffocating view of my place in your twisted space of utopian bliss amidst conniving smiles that steal my right to put up a fight let us scream and forever be seen our bodies allowed to be our own sacred ground
